Hyper Japan Memories – looking back chibi style!

Hey there Cupcakers! Once again it’s that fabulous time of the year where the Hyper Japan super-kawaii train kicks into life once more. Tickets are now on sale for 2017’s Summer event which looks to be another amazing celebration of Japanese culture. It seemed the perfect time to look back at my looks from the 2016: both of my Summer and Winter chibi styles.

My summer style was all about pastel rainbow colours, it was my first event as Mica Cupcake, so I really wanted to make a splash, an impact, with my outfit. I wasn’t too keen on my hair at the time so I bought the most beautiful wig to wear. Although it was boiling underneath! I had various pastel coloured clothing to mix and match, but I settled on a baby pink crop top from the H&M basics department, a blue and white gingham-styled mini skirt from TK Maxx. I also wore my Matalan kidswear kimono in pastel pink, plus blue shorts from River Island (as the skirt was rather on the short side!) and some cute monkey emoji tights 😀

My winter style had a hint of classic Japanese Geisha, with a red kimono that I bought from Matalan in the sale years ago, plus a black wig in a lovely bob 🙂 I wore my pink fluffy kidswear jumper (it’s 12-13 years so works as a fierce cropped number) my red love-heart Topshop dress, black tights and my shiny t-bar buckle-up shoes 🙂

I’m excited to be planning my next Hyper Japan outfit, I’m really going to go all out and be super duper Kawaii. I want my kitsch personality to shine and hopefully be able to use my real hair!

Watch this space Cupcakers.

Stay Stylish!

Mica xx
