Time for another Track of the Week!
In these difficult times thought it would be good to have an upbeat and fun tune to keep the spirits up. This week’s pick is the song ‘Nothin’ But A Good Time’ by Poison.
Poison were part of the mid to late 80s wave of Glam metal bands that became popular. Their biggest and most notable hit was the ballad ‘Every Rose Has It’s Thorn’ which if you’re a fan of the Bill and Ted movies will remember is what the title characters recite to God in poem form as they seek a place in Heaven in the movie Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey (starring Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves).
Anyway I digress, ‘Nothin’ But A Good Time’ is a real fun and punchy song, the kind that will get you up out of your seat playing that air guitar. The song has it’s own movie connections as it is featured in the film adaptation of the musical Rock of Ages (it’s also in the stage production).
